Entry: Park entry, jeep and guide fee per safari. Open: Morning and afternoon safari slots; closed in monsoon. Best season: Nov–Apr. Book the jeep at the Betla gate; elephants, bison and sloth bear are the usual sightings. Closed July–September.

Palamu Forts: 180 km, about 280 minutes from the resort; plan about 90 minutes there. Entry: Free. Open: Daylight hours. Best season: Oct–Mar. Two Chero forts inside the forest, 6 km from Betla; the new fort is the easier climb.
